The design of the foam cutter is shown above, and the call-outs give a small explanation about some of the components and how they are attached.
The overall description of the drawing is, that we have two transverse profiles and one long profile which the horisontal plates with bearings move along. The linear leading is done through two different belts fixed respectively to the vertical profile and the horisontal profile and the two servomotors.
On the vertical profile, two other plates with bearings are attached. On top of the plates, a hanger is placed. The hanger holds the hotwire by means of two holes with two clips.
At the front of the construction, there’s a bended piece of metal, which serves as a holder for the Arduinoboard.
